There is a lack of connection and understanding to our bodies starting at a very young age. We are not taught the beautiful and incredible subtle changes our bodies go through during an ovulation cycle. That if we are mindful and aware of these changes we not only are more connected to ourselves, but it teaches us to respect/love our bodies on another level and to know when something is right or wrong. Instead many feel awkward or ashamed as they don't have a true understanding of how things work and are connected. Now that I am in my 30's I finally learned to truly appreciate and value my ovulation/menstrual cycle. It is a cleansing process each month of not just physical but emotionally as well. ⠀ ⠀ In reality we should celebrate being women and the fact we have been given this special gift that not only holds all human life, but that our uterus is connected to our emotions and the environment around us. I had so much emotional weight that I was carrying inside me that I hadn't acknowledge, accepted, and released that my body was literally attacking itself each month in the organ that carried my pain from my rape and sexual assault…my female reproductive system. Until I emotionally healed from the trauma only then did my ovulation cycle became in sync for the first time in my life with no symptoms that I previously had.⠀ ⠀ Now that I am pregnant I have a whole new outlook and respect for my uterus and the entire process. It is sometimes hard to even comprehend how incredibly perfect our bodies are. That I as a woman can even grow a human life inside me.⠀ ⠀ Design: ©2017 Duvet Days / All Rights Reserved Shop: DesignsByDuvetDays.com
