Sure, more so because I was a model, but I believe every girl is told what her value is based on how pretty she is. Maybe this is not told to her by her parents or family — her peers and society in general certainly tell her this. . A woman's prettiness as her primary value in society is not a new construct; it goes back to the start of recorded history. . At my age now, I'm trying to balance the wonder of aging with the unfairness of being a woman in her prime who's being dismissed as a has-been on the basis of her looks. No wonder we all rush to do something "little' or "big" to stay looking younger.
