@aprilshaus DIY painted mini fridge details ⬇️⬇️⬇️ *update* did this project a year ago and it still looks perfect! 1. Clean thoroughly. I first started by using a microfiber cloth to wipe off all dirt & debris. Then I used a 000 steel wool pad, dish soap, and water. 2. Tape off seals. I used frog tape for this application & it worked really well. 3. Degloss. You could do this with a sanding block, but I opted for liquid sandpaper. 4. Prime. I used the internets favorite primer- Zinsser Bullseye 123. A foam roller and brush keep the surface lint free. Use light pressure to prevent air bubbles. 5. Paint with enamel. It's very important not to just use a wall paint- enamels dry to a much harder finish and are much more durable for projects like this. I love urethane alkyd enamel but to match the paint for this project I used cabinet and trim enamel.
