Huge installation on the Serpentine in Hyde Park being built by 83 year old Bulgarian artist Christo. He and his late wife have created famous out of door art such the wrapping of the Reichstag in Berlin. This will be his first major work in Britain. He calls it a Mastaba, a type of rectangular Egyptian tomb, consisting of some 7,500 barrels horizontally stacked on a floating platform, reaching up 30 meters. There will also be an exhibition in the Serpentine Gallery about his work with barrels. He did a famous wall in Paris 1962.
